    UNRELIABLE, REFUSES TO RETURN PHONE CALLS, DELIBERATELY MISLEADING, NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYONE OTHER THAN STORE PERSONNEL. (abbreviated version) The simple issue began with a an improperly working, 5 week old Hayward pool sweep. It took 3 visits before the Whittier store manager could find the time to dismantle the unit.     I ordered a cartridge for my pool filter from the Schererville, Indiana, store in in September 2013. I had just closed my pool and wanted a new cartridge for next summer. I was told I would receive a call when the cartridge came in. No one called. I actually forgot about the cartridge untill I opened the pool in May, 2014. I went back to Leslie's to see about my cartridge. The Twenty-somethings working the counter treated me as though I had done something wrong.     My first thing to say is my pool is easier to maintain since a friend suggested I use Leslie's Pool Supply. The personnel has always been very helpful until now. On March 14 I ordered a solar blanket for my inground pool. The lady said it would be in on Friday. Last Wednesday I returned to you store and was again told Friday. Today I saved my gas and called. I talked to the same lady as last week. She said it would be in on Friday. My responce was "You said it was on the truck last week and it would be in on Friday." Her responce was "Next Friday."   • brand new filter is a lemon

    I bought a hayward s210s filter from Leslie's on May 22, 2010. We had problems with our pool leaking water, but couldn't figure out why. Our pool is an older inground pool and we figured it was the plumbing not the brand new filter. When we opened up the 6 way we realized the gasket was corrupted. My husband took it back to Leslie's, but they would not just exchange the bad part, they made him repurchase the 6 way port.     I was in the store a little after 4:00 on a Thursday and was disappointed to see that there was only one Sales Associate working. There were 5 customers in front of me and another being waited on having water tested. One customer was waiting to have her water tested and another needed help with parts. While helping these customers the Sales Associate also was handling phone calls. After a good 20 minutes of waiting in line, I was making my purchase and realized by the total price that I had picked out the wrong item.     On 5/24, my wife went to Leslie's to buy 3" chlorine tablets, shock chlorine and Phos Free. When she got home, she realized I had already picked up tablets and shock chlorine. I called Leslie's and they refused to take the chlorine back, even when I told them that they were still in the vehicle where the store person had set them. I have a couple of kids in college and every couple of hundred dollars really makes a difference.     Upon entering the store on Fort Apache in Las Vegas, we were treated like animal to get out when purchasing supplies. The person name is BILL the MANAGER at Leslie's Pool Supply. We called for complaint and the district manager RICK called us back and even criticize us about our actions and our complaints!! They assume were asking for free merchandize when all we needed was an apology letter for being treated as animal. The manager even had the nerve to say it was TO BUSY!! AS AN EXCUSE.
